OpenAI's Business Marketing team is seeking a Program Manager to build and scale partner storytelling, customer proof, and public-facing content programs for the OpenAI Partner Network. This is a hands-on individual contributor role with no people-management responsibility, designed for someone who combines strategic judgment with strong execution. You will own the program strategy and end-to-end delivery of partner content initiatives. Key responsibilities include: - Building and scaling a partner customer reference program from sourcing and qualifying stories through publishing case studies, whitepapers, and webinars. You will establish repeatable processes, editorial standards, and distribution plans. - Creating compelling customer proof that connects partner expertise and OpenAI capabilities to specific customer challenges, use cases, and measurable outcomes. - Developing partner narratives and messaging by synthesizing technical, customer, and business information into clear positioning and thought leadership for internal and external audiences. - Shaping the OpenAI Partner Network website's content strategy, messaging, and ongoing development in collaboration with Brand, Design, and web teams. - Supporting partner launches and communications by developing launch narratives, messaging, and supporting content across Partnerships, Product Marketing, Communications, Legal, and partner teams. - Building direct relationships with partner founders, executives, marketing teams, and customers to uncover differentiated outcomes and move stories from initial conversation through publication. - Prioritizing opportunities based on business impact—adoption, qualified pipeline, and partner growth—while balancing near-term wins with long-term program development. - Integrating customer proof across channels by partnering with Sales, Field Marketing, and campaign teams to bring stories into sales conversations, partner programs, campaigns, events, and digital experiences. - Creating an effective operating rhythm with clear editorial pipeline, ownership, approval processes, and publishing cadence. You will track reference readiness, content engagement, sales usage, and contribution to pipeline and adoption. The role is hybrid, based in the San Francisco office three days per week. You will work cross-functionally with Partnerships, Sales, Product Marketing, Communications, Brand, and Legal teams while maintaining clear ownership and momentum. REQUIREMENTS: - 10+ years of experience in partner marketing, product marketing, customer marketing, content marketing, communications, or related B2B technology marketing roles. - Exceptional storytelling and editorial judgment; ability to absorb substantial information quickly and synthesize it into coherent narratives, strategy, and messaging. - Proven experience building customer reference or storytelling programs, including developing case studies, whitepapers, webinars, and thought leadership grounded in credible customer outcomes. - Strong business judgment and track record of choosing marketing investments based on customer relevance, pipeline potential, adoption, and commercial impact. - Hands-on execution approach: comfortable conducting interviews, drafting content, developing messaging, coordinating approvals, and publishing work. - Strong relationship-building skills, curiosity, and persistence. Ability to earn trust with founders, executives, and customers, ask thoughtful questions, and follow through to completion. - Ability to collaborate across multiple functions while maintaining clear ownership and momentum. - Experience translating technical capabilities into accessible customer value, with careful attention to accuracy, substantiation, and permissions. - Comfort moving between strategy and execution, building initial versions quickly, learning from results, and creating repeatable, scalable programs.
