Salary: USD 150,000 - 186,000 / annual
Skydio is seeking a customer-facing Program Manager to lead implementation and delivery for Law Enforcement customers, specifically serving as the primary liaison with the New Jersey Department of Corrections. This role sits within the Mission Success team and owns all aspects of contract success including project planning, technical execution, risk management, budget management, performance improvements, and scheduling.
You will serve as Skydio's primary point of contact for law enforcement customers, translating their requirements into actionable plans for product and engineering teams. The role requires deep technical understanding of autonomous drone systems and the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted deployments in a fast-paced environment. You will collaborate across Customer Success, Technical Support, Product, Marketing, Development, and Engineering teams to ensure successful platform launches and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and designing end-to-end project deployment and integration activities
- Managing production and implementation programs against cost, schedule, and technical requirements
- Translating customer requirements to agile product and technical teams
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with law enforcement leadership
- Informing business and program leaders of contract risks and opportunities
- Supporting go-to-market and business development activities
This is a highly collaborative role requiring ownership, accountability, and comfort with ambiguity. You will work with high-level officials and manage multiple concurrent projects. The position is based in New Jersey and is a firm location requirement.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience as a customer-facing professional services or program manager in complex, multifaceted roles, preferably for law enforcement agencies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including interaction with senior leaders
- Proven track record implementing new technology, agile development, and interfacing with technical teams to meet customer schedules
- Experience implementing internal business systems, processes, and controls for large-scale law enforcement customer projects
- Experience with Law Enforcement and commercial Unmanned Aircraft Systems and related software development
- Law Enforcement/Federal Program Management experience including: Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget Planning
- Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort with data analytics and independent complex problem resolution
- FAA Part 107 certification strongly encouraged within first 60 days; required for certain positions
