Abacum is a leading Business Planning solution for finance teams, founded in 2020 by two former CFOs. The company has grown to 100+ employees across 30+ nationalities, with offices in New York, Toronto, and Barcelona. Abacum has raised over $100M, including a $60M Series B in June 2025 led by Scale Venture Partners. As Professional Services Manager, you will own end-to-end delivery of Abacum implementation projects, from pre-sales scoping through kickoff and delivery. You will partner with Sales during the pre-sales cycle to scope projects, size effort, and present SOWs to clients, setting appropriate expectations before deal closure. You will build project documents, sprint plans, budgets, and resource plans tailored to each project and delivery model. Key responsibilities include managing implementations delivered both directly and through partners, holding all delivery to consistent quality standards. You will manage scope, risk, and change control, escalating early using governance processes. You will serve as a trusted advisor to client stakeholders, advising on process and organizational changes needed to realize platform value. You will coordinate across Product, Support, Sales, Customer Success, and delivery partners to maintain a coherent client experience. You will get hands-on with the product itself, deep enough to unblock the team on platform or FP&A concept questions. You will contribute to delivery methodology evolution, including developing and deploying AI to speed up delivery and enhance customer experience, refining templates, sprint cadences, and design-phase practices. You will mentor junior delivery team members and partner-side consultants on delivery standards and quality expectations. Requirements: - 4+ years of hands-on experience implementing a financial planning/EPM platform (stated as a requirement, not a nice-to-have) - Experience scoping projects pre-sale and presenting SOWs directly to clients - Direct experience managing implementations delivered through third-party partners or resellers alongside direct customer delivery - Working knowledge of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, consolidation) sufficient to challenge client assumptions - Track record managing multi-stakeholder, multi-workstream projects with technical and change-management components - Ability to read scope documents critically and flag risks early - Proficiency with SaaS project tools and Agile/hybrid methodologies - Excellent client-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting to and influencing senior finance stakeholders - Bonus: Working knowledge of other planning use cases such as workforce planning; formal Project Management Qualifications
