Zscaler is seeking an experienced Professional Services Consultant to join its Professional Services team in Tokyo, reporting to the Senior Manager of Professional Services. You will be responsible for deep-diving into customer environments to understand unique requirements, creating design plans, and configuring and integrating Zscaler Zero Trust Exchange solutions to maximize customer value.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing customer environments and requirements to develop comprehensive design plans
- Configuring and integrating Zscaler solutions aligned with customer needs
- Ensuring client deliverables are met on time per Statement of Work specifications
- Providing deployment services including best practice design, recommendations, and configuration
- Maintaining and advancing expertise in deploying advanced Zscaler product features
- Supporting customers with testing and troubleshooting during deployment phases
- Collaborating with Technical Account Managers and support teams as needed

The Professional Services organization is customer-focused, leveraging data and research to deliver high-impact implementation support and ensure customers achieve their goals and fully leverage Zscaler technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of prior work experience in similar roles (Professional Consultant, Solutions Architect, Security Architect, Technical Marketing Engineer, or Security Support Engineer)
- Ability to work on-site for projects and collaborate with customers and partner engineers
- Experience deploying and maintaining large-scale networking, firewall, or security solutions in enterprise environments
- Deep understanding of IPSEC, GRE, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS protocols, Proxy and SSL, and authentication systems (SAML, LDAP, MS Active Directory)
- Fluent in Japanese with intermediate business English proficiency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of Internet and Routing Protocols and Internet/Security technologies
- Knowledge of Authentication and SAML/Identity Provider (IdP) systems
- Knowledge of web-based security and network infrastructure solutions, traffic forwarding, and policy-based routing concepts
