Abacum is a leading Business Planning solution for finance teams, founded in 2020 by two former CFOs. The company automates reporting, enables collaboration, and simplifies planning and forecasting to help finance teams shift from number crunching to strategic decision-making. With 100+ employees across 30+ nationalities, offices in New York, Toronto, and Barcelona, and $100M+ in funding (including a $60M Series B in June 2025), Abacum serves industry leaders like Dish Networks, Strava, BetterUp, and Kajabi.
As a Professional Services Associate, you will deliver implementation projects that drive customer success and value realization on the Abacum platform. Your responsibilities include following project plans and timelines while communicating proactively about progress and risks, crafting best-in-class financial models to optimize clients' existing processes, onboarding and training clients to become Abacum experts, and collaborating with Engineering and Product teams to develop feature innovations.
You will work directly with finance teams at mid-to-large organizations, explaining financial and technical concepts clearly to both clients and internal stakeholders. This role requires strong client-facing communication skills and comfort presenting to and influencing senior finance stakeholders. You'll leverage working knowledge of FP&A processes—budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and consolidation—to challenge client assumptions and drive best practices, not simply document current state.
The company values Customer Obsession, Audacious Ambition, Good People, and Tough Love. Benefits include competitive compensation with equity, vacation policy, medical insurance, L&D budget, access to Meditopia wellness platform, and language courses (English/Spanish).
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2+ years of hands-on experience implementing a financial planning/EPM platform (such as Anaplan, Adaptive, Drivetrain, Pigment, or similar) — stated as a requirement, not a nice-to-have
- Ability to explain financial and technical concepts clearly to clients and internal stakeholders
- Working knowledge of FP&A processes (budgeting, forecasting, reporting, consolidation) sufficient to challenge client assumptions
- Proficiency with Excel and ability to build financial models
- Experience with SaaS project tools and Agile/hybrid methodologies
- Strong client-facing communication skills, comfortable presenting to and influencing senior finance stakeholders
- Formal Project Management Qualifications are a plus, not required
