Salary: USD 126,000 - 167,000 / annual

Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Production Program Manager to join the Intelligence Systems (AIS) division. This role serves as a builder-operator responsible for driving the manufacturing ramp of production programs in a high-volume, security-intensive environment. You will work cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, operations, finance, and executive leadership to ensure successful project delivery on schedule and budget. The position is critical to driving efficiency improvements, schedule attainment, risk assessment and mitigation, and ensuring manufacturability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include: - Acting as an internal strike team leader to identify, analyze, and resolve complex operational, manufacturing, and business process issues that impede product maturity and scalability - Driving continuous improvement initiatives aligned with cost-of-goods-sold (COGS) objectives to enhance production efficiency and cost effectiveness - Monitoring project budgets and tracking progress to solve the largest problems and improve the bottom line - Developing and implementing reporting systems that transparently communicate progress to internal teams and executive leadership on KPIs, OKRs, project status, risks, and mitigations - Serving as production's point of contact for all changes to existing products and new products in the pipeline - Leading high-priority, cross-functional projects to align production efforts with business objectives spanning engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and finance - Partnering to build agile production management processes focused on process optimization, operational excellence, continuous improvement, design for manufacturability (DFM), and supply chain stability Note: Up to 25% travel required. The role will be based temporarily in Santa Ana, CA for a 3-month training period before transitioning to Asheville, OH. REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or related technical field - 5+ years of experience in operations program management, business operations, or engineering/technical roles, preferably in a complex hardware industry - Strong understanding of the manufacturing environment and supporting processes that enable production - Experience launching new products with condensed timelines - Experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) and tools (Jira, Confluence, Gantt Charts, etc.) - Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills - Strong communication and leadership abilities to influence and align cross-functional teams - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving priorities - Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Data-driven mindset with understanding of systems and ability to communicate with engineering and product teams - Builder mentality—preference for designing and implementing better solutions rather than patching broken ones - Team player approach with humility and clear understanding of impact - Self-driven and proactive with bias toward action - Comfort with ambiguity and ability to untangle complex, messy problems - Clear communication skills in both technical and non-technical contexts
