XTEND is a leading developer and deployer of human-guided autonomous drone systems for defense and homeland security applications. We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production operations in our Tampa facility, ensuring efficient and timely manufacturing of our cutting-edge drone systems.
In this hands-on leadership role, you will plan, direct, and coordinate production activities to meet on-time delivery targets while maintaining high quality standards. You will develop and implement production schedules, manage and optimize production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs, and lead a team of production personnel with guidance, training, and performance feedback.
Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements; monitoring and analyzing production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities; collaborating with engineering, procurement, and other departments to ensure seamless production flow; managing inventory levels and material procurement; implementing and maintaining quality control procedures; troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions; and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and effectiveness.
This is a fast-paced role requiring a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as a Production Manager in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, defense, or technology industry
- Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling, and inventory management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of quality management systems and lean manufacturing principles
- Experience with ERP systems and production management software
- Located in Tampa area; on-site role
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and assembly
- Experience with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems
