Inductive Bio is an AI-powered medicinal chemistry platform that accelerates drug discovery through computational tools and AI assistance. The company has developed Beacon-1 ADMET prediction models, human dose projection tools, and Indy (an AI medicinal chemistry assistant), and recently won $21M in ARPA-H CATALYST funding. As a Product Scientist, you will serve as the primary scientific lead on partner programs, applying expertise in medicinal chemistry, computational chemistry, and DMPK to real molecular optimization challenges with a focus on dose-centric approaches. You'll work across diverse small molecule modalities, therapeutic areas, and modeling problems. Key responsibilities include: owning scientific relationships with biotech and pharma partners; rationalizing SAR data and identifying program liabilities; guiding medicinal chemistry strategy on compound selection and testing; modeling in vivo outcomes and projected human doses; and representing Inductive's capabilities in partner meetings and publications. You'll also prototype scientific analyses in Python and Claude Code, build reusable tools and workflows, evaluate new computational methods, diagnose model performance issues, and set scientific direction for the platform. You'll participate in product design meetings, write feature requirements, prioritize roadmap decisions, and help scale the Product Science function. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of drug discovery experience across multiple discovery stages (hit identification through lead optimization), ideally including programs advanced to development candidate nomination or IND-enabling studies. You should have broad technical range across cheminformatics, structure/physics-based modeling, ML, and DMPK, with strong Python skills and comfort with AI coding agents. Clear communication and ability to translate complex analyses for technical and non-technical audiences is essential.
