Zoox is seeking a Product & Regulatory Counsel to join its legal team and support the development and commercial launch of its all-electric autonomous robotaxi service. In this role, you will serve as a trusted legal partner working directly with the Associate General Counsel & Director of Product & Regulatory to navigate the complex and evolving regulatory landscape governing autonomous vehicles and transportation services.
Key responsibilities include:
- Advising on regulatory compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions as Zoox transitions from early previews to full commercial operation
- Supporting product development by identifying legal and regulatory requirements and constraints
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business development to ensure regulatory alignment
- Monitoring regulatory developments and anticipating compliance challenges
- Contributing to licensing, permitting, and approval processes required for autonomous vehicle deployment
- Drafting and reviewing legal documents related to regulatory matters and product operations
