Jerry.ai is a pre-IPO insurtech startup with $240M in funding, 5M+ customers, and profitability. The company pioneered generative AI in insurance, building homegrown infrastructure to automate sales and service conversations before off-the-shelf platforms existed. Today, that system handles over 70% of inbound requests (50k+ chats monthly).
As Product Owner for AI Agents and Automation, you will lead end-to-end development of Jerry's customer-facing agentic AI platform, leveraging LLMs, agents, and internal APIs. You'll report directly to the COO and own one of the company's most important growth levers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead roadmap and rollout for AI platform and customer experiences from conception through production
- Partner with engineering to design prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and guardrails balancing latency, cost, and accuracy
- Serve as technical translator between engineering and broader organization, establishing AI best practices and platform standards
- Drive systematic improvement in answer quality, customer satisfaction, and automation rates through rigorous experimentation
- Collaborate with OpenAI partners to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation
- Consolidate fragmented prompt infrastructure (currently across six locations) into a unified platform with single source of truth
You are a technologist deeply familiar with modern LLMs and AI systems. You think in systems, are comfortable with technical architecture discussions, and can translate complex concepts across audiences. You have hands-on experience with SQL, data analysis, and hypothesis validation. You're pragmatic about technical tradeoffs and lead by example.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in technical roles (forward-deployed engineering, technical product management) at fast-paced startups, with a track record of turning complex strategic ideas into scalable production-grade products.
