Diligent is seeking a Product Data & Telemetry Lead to design and build the single source of truth for how the company measures its products across a 30-product portfolio. This is a hands-on senior individual-contributor role focused on creating metric definitions, telemetry standards, and governance models that drive actionable insights across the organization.
You will define the data contract that engineering teams instrument against, build models that transform raw product telemetry into portfolio-level insights, and establish federated data governance as a core operating principle. Your work directly feeds monthly and quarterly business reviews used by executives, the CTO, and investors to run the portfolio—giving you direct visibility into high-level decision-making.
The role sits at the center of the Product Operations function, working closely with product, engineering, data, and analytics leaders. You'll be hands-on with schemas, metrics, definitions, and governance—writing clean SQL, designing event schemas, and maintaining standards across teams you don't directly manage. The technical stack includes AWS and Snowflake as the warehouse spine, with capture and BI layers to be determined collaboratively.
This is an early-stage opportunity to shape the tools and frameworks rather than inherit them. The work is sponsored at the executive level, ensuring engineering teams will actively adopt the standards you define. Over your first 90 days, you'll learn the existing data estate, meet the engineering teams, and deliver one narrow, visible win by establishing a defensible measurement model for a single product. Subsequent quarters focus on scaling the governance model, building the metric layer, and establishing the telemetry contract across the portfolio.
