Diligent is seeking a Product Data & Telemetry Lead to design and build the single source of truth for how the company measures its products across a 30-product portfolio. This is a hands-on senior individual-contributor role focused on creating metric definitions, telemetry standards, and governance models that drive actionable insights across the organization.
You will define the data contract that engineering teams instrument against, building models that transform raw product telemetry into portfolio-level insights. Working with AWS and Snowflake as the warehouse foundation, you'll help evaluate and select capture and BI layer tools early in their adoption. Your work directly feeds monthly and quarterly business reviews used by executives, the CTO, and investors to manage the portfolio.
In your first 90 days, you'll learn the existing measurement estate, meet engineering teams, and deliver one narrow, visible win by establishing a defensible measurement model for a single product. Over the following months, you'll scale governance across teams, build federated data governance practices, and establish yourself as the keeper of metric definitions and standards.
This role sits at the center of the Product Operations function, working closely with product, engineering, data, and analytics leaders. You'll need to think in schemas, metrics, definitions, and governance—writing clean SQL, designing event schemas, and holding standards across teams you don't directly manage. The role is sponsored at executive level, ensuring your standards are adopted rather than ignored. You'll have direct influence on how the company sees and understands its own products.
