Gradial is an AI-native system of work for enterprise marketing, enabling AI agents to execute campaigns across tools, teams, and workflows that enterprises already use. The company is Series C-funded, growing rapidly with Fortune 500 customers including AWS, T-Mobile, and Prudential.
As Product Marketing Manager, you will define category positioning and drive product marketing strategy as the company scales. You'll own how Gradial is positioned to executives, buyers, operators, analysts, and the broader market. This is a high-impact individual contributor role reporting to Product with a dotted line to Marketing, designed for someone who has joined an early-stage startup and driven it through significant scale as a category-defining business.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and defend Gradial's positioning across the portfolio, ensuring consistent narrative across homepage, pitch, launches, and market messaging
- Name and shape the category through sharp messaging, proprietary research, and market language that sticks
- Own product and company messaging for executives, buyers, operators, and technical stakeholders across all major channels
- Lead product launches as narrative moments, building storylines, proof points, founder content, customer voice, and end-to-end go-to-market coordination
- Build competitive positioning to win against adjacent platforms, incumbents, and agency alternatives
- Partner closely with Sales to sharpen differentiation, strengthen objection handling, and improve win rates
- Turn customer wins into category-defining stories through case studies, talks, videos, PR moments, and co-marketing assets
- Conduct frequent customer conversations to refine messaging, uncover proof points, and keep narratives grounded in reality
- Own analyst relations across top industry firms, shaping market understanding of the category and Gradial's position
- Maintain high standards for clarity and consistency as the company scales
You'll work closely with founders, product teams, sales, and customers in a fast-moving environment with minimal existing structure. The role requires strong instincts, sharp judgment, and high conviction about making new categories feel inevitable.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of product marketing experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in product-led or category-creating companies
- Experience joining an early-stage startup (roughly under 250 employees) and driving it through significant scale as a category-defining business
- Strong track record owning positioning, launches, competitive strategy, customer storytelling, and sales enablement
- Exceptional writing and storytelling skills with ability to create sharp narratives influencing buyers, operators, analysts, and internal teams
- Ability to translate complex product capabilities into clear market value for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working closely with founders, product teams, and go-to-market teams in fast-moving environments with little existing structure
- High ownership mindset with comfort operating as a builder and individual contributor while laying foundation for a future function
- Strong customer instinct and habit of staying close to users, buyer pain points, objections, and product truth
- Confidence and judgment to make strategic messaging decisions and hold the line as company grows
NICE TO HAVE:
- Experience at high-performing startup that scaled meaningfully from early stage to broad market adoption
- Familiarity with AI-native products, AI-leaning developer tools, or modern MarTech platforms
- Experience introducing a new category or making new market language stick in competitive space
