Conversion is an agentic marketing automation platform for enterprise customers like Plaid, ClickHouse, Webflow, and Productboard. The company has raised $28M+ from Abstract Ventures, True Ventures, and HOF Capital, with a team based in San Francisco including talent from Airbnb, Palantir, Pinterest, IMC, Shopify, LinkedIn, and Microsoft. This is Conversion's first full-time Product Marketing Manager role. The company ships new features, agents, integrations, and customer-requested improvements weekly—a pace that creates unique messaging challenges. The PMM will own the company narrative, positioning, and messaging across all launches and channels. Key responsibilities include: developing and maintaining Conversion's overall positioning and messaging; managing weekly launches and larger tentpole releases across three launch tiers; breaking major releases into smaller, staggered market moments; establishing and enforcing brand voice and copy standards across the website, launches, and sales materials; determining launch channel strategy; competitive positioning against Marketo, HubSpot, and Pardot; creating sales enablement materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards); and gathering customer insights through calls, win/loss analysis, and customer stories. The role functions as connective tissue across marketing, product, and engineering, with a company-wide perspective rather than being embedded on a single product pod. The PMM will spend significant time on customer calls, in onboarding sessions, and in deal reviews, speaking regularly with MOps directors and CMOs to ensure messaging resonates authentically. The position requires comfort with a fast-paced environment where "good" ships this week and "better" ships next week. The role involves high-volume, sometimes unglamorous work and requires willingness to iterate publicly and move quickly. REQUIREMENTS: - Prior PMM experience at a B2B company selling into enterprise - Demonstrated experience shipping on a weekly or biweekly launch cadence - Portfolio of messaging work with evidence of post-launch iteration and results - Proactive participation in customer calls (without needing to be asked) - Ability to move fast and iterate in public - Comfort with high-volume, detailed work - Strong, clear writing skills with speed PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Experience marketing to marketers or MOps teams, or direct experience with Marketo, HubSpot, or Pardot - Track record building a narrative from zero at an early-stage company - Experience running a tentpole launch end-to-end - Knowledge of notable B2B launches beyond obvious examples - Familiarity with thought leaders like Kyle Poyar, Emily Kramer, and Dave Gerhardt - Interest in working on a high-intensity, in-person team - Background at a high-growth startup with exposure to scaling growth motions This role is in-person, 5 days per week in San Francisco.
