OpenAI is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead youth-focused product initiatives across its platform. The Youth Well-Being team builds features designed to ensure young people have safe, age-appropriate, and positive experiences with AI, including age prediction, parental controls, and crisis support resources. In this role, you will own end-to-end product development for users under 18, from concept through launch and iteration. You'll identify user needs and translate them into high-impact product opportunities, balancing usefulness, simplicity, trust, safety, and accessibility. You'll define success metrics, use data and research to guide roadmap decisions, and partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, research, policy, legal, communications, finance, and operations teams to execute quickly and effectively. This is a high-impact position with the opportunity to improve daily life for millions of young people. You'll shape how teenagers benefit from AI across OpenAI's products and contribute to the company's mission of safely deploying broadly beneficial artificial general intelligence. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of product management experience leading large-scale consumer or platform products, with demonstrated experience building for teenagers. You should have strong product judgment, the ability to simplify complex problems, and proven effectiveness working with technical teams to ship high-quality products. You're analytical, user-focused, an excellent cross-functional communicator, and deeply care about using AI to improve everyday life. The position is based in San Francisco, CA, with relocation assistance available.
