Lendable is a UK unicorn fintech company (founded 2018, profitable since 2017) backed by Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs, with over 800 employees. The company has rebuilt consumer finance products (loans, credit cards, car finance) from scratch and is now scaling aggressively in the US market, where the credit card business grew 20x in the last six months.
You will join the product team as a Product Manager focused on the US Cards business, covering post-booking areas: payments, collections, credit limit increases, spend, and the mobile app. The role emphasizes rapid experimentation, customer-centric problem-solving, and leveraging AI to move faster.
Key responsibilities:
- Run experiments across the customer lifecycle (payment reminders, autopay adoption, engagement gamification)
- Partner with credit risk and data science teams to apply models to new opportunities
- Test ideas cheaply and quickly (manual processes, emails, scripts, AI prototypes) before committing engineering resources
- Conduct customer research to validate assumptions
- Build tools and automations with AI to save time for ops and the broader business
- Own unblocking work: coordinate with developers, legal, compliance, and ops to ship features
You'll report to the Senior Product Manager for Customer Management and work closely with a distributed team: developers and designers in London and Europe, a US-based data science team, credit risk, growth, and operations. The team spans London, remote engineers across Europe, and an office in Arlington, Virginia (which you'll visit).
Lendable emphasizes AI-forward product development: PMs build their own dashboards, create agents and workflows, and ship straightforward changes to production. The culture values ownership, resourcefulness, and challenging the status quo.
Work arrangement: hybrid (3 days in-office Tuesday–Thursday in London; work-from-home Mondays and Fridays). In-house catering on office days. Annual company offsites and team trips.
Requirements:
- 1–4 years in product, strategy, analytics, consulting, or operations, with hands-on experience supporting product or execution teams
- Strong curiosity and drive to understand root causes
- Comfort forming hypotheses and testing quickly, even with rough first versions
- Data literacy: ability to write SQL or Python to answer your own questions
- Active use of AI tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex) in work or side projects
- Willingness to own small, unglamorous tasks in a lean team
- Preference for variety and ambiguity over well-defined backlogs
- Bonus: lending, payments, fintech, or fast-growth startup experience
Not a fit if you prefer fully specified problems or a managed backlog.
