Salary: USD 177,000 - 300,000 / annual
Hex is seeking a Product Manager to drive the future of how teams work with data. This is a senior-level individual contributor role (the company notes it would index to Senior PM at other organizations) focused on owning an area of the product and driving a coherent vision that resonates with customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Own a product area and drive forward a coherent vision aligned with customer needs
- Conduct early discovery and identify high-impact problems worth solving
- Engage deeply with customers to understand their roles, goals, and how to increase their impact
- Research the competitive landscape and develop deep expertise in data and analytics
- Collaborate closely with engineering, design, and go-to-market teams to deliver high-impact features
- Learn from the sales process to identify what resonates in the market
Hex is a product-led company with a strong sales motion, so the PM will balance deep product thinking with market validation and sales enablement. The company has recently launched AI-driven features (Threads, Notebook Agent) that have driven significant momentum, and this PM will help continue that trajectory by advancing analytical features including notebooks, dashboarding, and conversational AI interfaces.
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Product Manager, product-engaged Solutions/Sales Engineer, or customer-engaged Engineer
- Experience with technical products and demonstrated ability to dive deep into complex systems
- Ability to ship quickly and iterate in a growth-stage startup environment
- Preference for candidates with experience or strong interest in data and analytics
The role is hybrid (1-2 days per week in office) based in San Francisco headquarters.
