You'll own the roadmap, strategy, and success metrics for Fireworks' core inference and platform product, spanning API, UI, and CLI surfaces. This role bridges product strategy with customer impact, requiring you to work directly with AI-native startups and enterprises running production inference workloads.
Key responsibilities include:
- Owning the inference and platform product roadmap across multiple surfaces
- Working directly with production customers to understand pain points and convert them into productized capabilities
- Owning commercial and trust surfaces including accounts, onboarding, quotas, rate limits, billing, and fraud/abuse prevention
- Partnering with product marketing, sales, and field teams on launches including pricing, packaging, documentation, and enablement
You'll tackle problems like determining rate limit increases for customers, reducing fraudulent free-tier usage without adding friction, and balancing latency, cost, and reliability tradeoffs in production inference.
Required qualifications: 2-8+ years of product management on technical or developer-facing products; strong technical background (CS/EE degree or equivalent production engineering experience); familiarity with inference lifecycle, model serving, and latency/throughput/cost tradeoffs; demonstrated end-to-end product ownership; excellent written communication; comfort with ambiguity and bias toward shipping.
Preferred: personal experience building on LLM APIs; self-serve/PLG product experience; trust/safety or fraud prevention at scale; GPU economics understanding; cloud or developer platform experience with metered pricing; early-stage or founding experience.
