Salary: USD 130,000 - 207,000 / annual
Vinyl Equity is building next-generation capital-markets infrastructure, starting with a modern, digital-native transfer agent for public companies. The platform replaces slow, manual processes with secure, automated workflows. As Product Manager for Operations & Applied AI, you will transform multi-party workflows into products that are instrumented, guardrailed, self-serve, and AI-assisted. You'll bridge three customer groups: Vinyl operators, issuers/shareholders, and market partners (DTC, law firms, banks, Broadridge). You'll set product direction alongside engineers without direct management responsibility.
Key responsibilities include making Vinyl's operations AI-native by building baseline metrics on operator effort and applying human-in-the-loop AI to ingestion, mapping, support triage, and operator copilots. You'll own the requirements pipeline, converting operator and issuer needs into build-ready specifications that capture domain facts, edge cases, and clear recommendations. You'll ship self-serve experiences for issuers and shareholders, including reporting, exports, and status views. You'll extend the platform to next workflows such as tender offers, escheatment, unclaimed property, and disbursements. Additionally, you'll instrument real-time visibility and accountability across multi-party processes and design correctness and controls into the product through invariants, maker-checker approvals, and audit trails.
You'll need 7+ years in product, program, or technical operations, with hands-on AI/ML deployment experience in product or operations contexts. A strong technical foundation is essential: code literacy, integration understanding, and model evaluation capability. You should have a track record designing correctness and controls in regulated or high-stakes domains, demonstrated ability reducing manual operational load without unnecessary process complexity, and proven ability measuring business impact and collaborating asynchronously. Nice-to-haves include fintech, regtech, or compliance-heavy environment experience; familiarity with ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, AWS, GitHub; team or function building experience; and operations-engineering, solutions-architect, or TPM background.
The role requires in-office presence at least three days weekly at the West Loop headquarters in Chicago.
