Faire is a technology wholesale platform connecting independent retailers globally with products from around the world. The company uses tech, data, and machine learning to serve a multi-hundred-billion-dollar wholesale market historically fragmented and offline.
You will own a significant area of the product roadmap, deeply understand your customers (retailers and brands), and execute with an eye toward impact. You'll sit at the nexus of design, engineering, data science, strategy, and go-to-market, partnering closely across those functions and with founders and senior leadership.
The role is hire-agnostic; your final level and team will be determined through the interview process based on your experience and current openings. You may be aligned to one of these pillars: Retailer Growth (acquiring, activating, and retaining retailers), Brand (acquiring brands and building tooling for their success), Discovery (core shopping experience via search, recommendations, ads), Value (membership discounts, financing, fulfillment, inventory workflows), or Ads (helping brands grow through paid placement).
Key responsibilities:
- Own strategy and multi-year roadmap direction for your product area
- Own specific product outcomes and goals designed to drive marketplace growth
- Own unit economics for your product, understanding key growth and margin levers
- Partner deeply across Design, Data Science, Strategy & Analytics, Go-To-Market, Operations, and Engineering; lead without authority and maintain momentum on complex, multi-stakeholder work
- Communicate clearly at every level, translating complex technical topics for diverse audiences from engineers to senior leadership
Faire was founded in 2017 by early product and engineering leads from Square. Backed by Y Combinator, Lightspeed, Forerunner, Khosla, Sequoia, Founders Fund, and DST Global. Headquarters in San Francisco and Kitchener-Waterloo, with offices in Toronto, London, and New York.
Hybrid employees work in-office 3 days per week (Tuesdays, Thursdays, and a flex day) with flexibility to work remotely up to 4 weeks per year.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 4+ years of product management experience with demonstrated ability to own complex, cross-functional products end-to-end
- Strategic clarity with hands-on execution: ability to develop defensible multi-year strategy, then zoom in to write crisp requirements, drive execution, and unblock teams
- High learning velocity and analytical rigor; define metrics that matter, size opportunities, use data to drive decisions
- Customer empathy and strong design sense; deep understanding of how retailers and brands operate; skilled at designing thoughtful, delightful experiences
- Structured problem solving; break ambiguous problems into clear hypotheses, diagnose root causes
- Cross-functional influence across Design, Engineering, Data Science, Strategy & Analytics, and Go-to-Market; track record of aligning diverse stakeholders
- Proven ability to influence at executive level and communicate complex topics with clarity and conviction
- AI fluency; comfortable using AI tools to accelerate problem solving, solution definition, and analysis; hands-on with prototyping and AI-driven decision-making
- Marketplace experience is a strong plus, particularly familiarity with two-sided dynamics and competing customer objectives
