OpenAI's ChatGPT product team is seeking a Product Manager for Education & Learning to shape the strategy and build products that advance learning experiences within ChatGPT. This role focuses on defining a category that could reshape classrooms, careers, and lifelong learning by leveraging conversational AI.
You will define and drive the product vision for education and learning in ChatGPT, partnering with AI research teams to explore how AI can better advance learning outcomes. Collaboration is central: you'll work across design, engineering, product, and go-to-market teams to bring education features to life. You'll also partner with growth, GTM, and marketing teams to reach students, adult learners, and educators.
A key responsibility is working with external partners in academia, education, and workforce development to track outcomes and ensure products are safe, effective, and aligned with real-world needs. You'll use both data and user feedback to validate impact and guide product direction.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of product management experience with strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and communication skills. Experience in education, EdTech, or learning research is valued, as is a track record of building and scaling impactful consumer products. You should be motivated by OpenAI's mission to ensure AI benefits all of humanity and excited about building products that help people learn.
This is a hybrid role based in San Francisco, requiring three days in the office per week. OpenAI offers relocation assistance for new employees.
