Sourcegraph is seeking a deeply technical, pragmatic Product Manager to shape and deliver products for developers and AI agents. The company's mission is to bring clarity and control to the world's most complex codebases by providing engineering organizations with full visibility across their systems, precise context for AI agents, and the ability to execute coordinated code changes at scale.
In this role, you will be the primary Product Manager supporting a small, fast-moving engineering organization, working across several teams to identify priorities, organize customer and product feedback, define requirements, and guide products through experimental, beta, and general availability lifecycles. You'll spend significant time with customers, engineering leaders, and developers to understand their needs and translate them into clear product decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Ramping up on Sourcegraph's products, customers, technical architecture, and product strategy
- Building strong relationships with engineering leaders and supported teams
- Gathering, organizing, and prioritizing product feedback across teams
- Translating customer problems into clear product requirements and success criteria
- Supporting the product lifecycle from discovery through launch and measurement
- Owning product prioritization and planning across engineering teams
- Developing scalable systems for product discovery, feedback management, and iteration
- Representing customer needs and product vision to internal and external stakeholders
You'll need enough technical depth to discuss implementation tradeoffs, evaluate developer workflows, and represent the product in engineering discussions. You should also communicate crisply with non-technical audiences about the value Sourcegraph delivers. This is an opportunity to have outsized impact within a startup-like organization while leveraging Sourcegraph's enterprise distribution and access to customers with some of the world's largest and most complex codebases.
Sourcegraph is backed by a16z, Sequoia, and Redpoint, and operates as a globally distributed team valuing high agency, direct communication, and customer love. While the company hires almost anywhere, there is a preference for EST or Europe locations, with a requirement that working hours overlap with EST for at least 20 hours per week.
