Public is a long-term investing platform that combines AI with diverse asset classes—stocks, bonds, crypto, and options—to help affluent investors build portfolios. Founded in 2019 and headquartered in NYC, the company has raised over $400M from top-tier investors including Accel and Tiger Global, and manages billions in assets. You'll own all non-trading products that drive growth and engagement—including referral programs, notifications, price alerts, and more—from conception through design, development, QA, and launch. A core part of this role is designing and shipping embedded AI features as integral parts of the product experience, such as AI-powered portfolio summaries and benchmarking tools. You'll keep a pulse on market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to identify the biggest levers for growing Public's business and user engagement. You'll shape Public's broader product roadmap, balancing speed, quality, and long-term customer impact as AI becomes increasingly central to the strategy. You'll build and test go-to-market hypotheses—including target audience, KPIs, positioning, and differentiators—both before and after launch. You bring 4–8 years of product experience with a track record of shipping high-quality consumer apps with sharp UX/UX instincts. AI is core to how you build—not a feature bolted on. You use AI daily to move faster and are excited to design AI-native product experiences. You have a deep understanding of growth, retention, and engagement in digital consumer products, and you prioritize product velocity. You have a working understanding of the stock market and how major events move prices (dividends, earnings, economic events); deep brokerage experience is not required. You communicate clearly in writing and in person, working cross-functionally with engineers, compliance, risk, operations, and go-to-market teams.
