Jerry is a fintech platform that simplifies car and home ownership by consolidating insurance, repairs, financing, and maintenance into a single app. Founded in 2019, the company has grown to 5M+ customers, raised $240M+, and achieved profitability in early 2024. The company operates a marketplace connecting customers with 100+ insurance carriers, with 60% of policies sold automatically and 90% of inquiries resolved via AI.
The Growth team owns the entire customer acquisition and purchase funnel for Jerry's core car insurance product. As a Product Manager on this team, you will drive how millions of people discover, evaluate, and become Jerry customers. The role reports directly to the VP of Growth with visibility to the C-suite.
In your first few months (Phase 1), you will learn the fundamentals of product management while developing deep understanding of funnel performance. You'll conduct structured product walkthroughs to map user journeys and identify friction points, synthesize user feedback from reviews and support tickets into actionable insights, and partner with engineering on bug triage and resolution.
As you build context (Phase 2), you'll lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, starting with well-scoped launches like landing pages and compliance features, then expanding scope. You'll contribute to A/B testing and experiment design, partner with Design and Engineering to ship experiences balancing speed, clarity, and trust, and translate customer problems into clear hypotheses and requirements.
The Growth team is small (3 PMs total) with significant surface area, requiring scrappy execution but offering substantial ownership and scope. The company operates on weekly sprints with a fast-shipping culture—products that take 6-12 months elsewhere launch in 1-2 months here.
Important constraint: The engineering team is partly based in China, requiring 3-4 hours of daily overlap with China business hours. This is non-negotiable.
You should be a structured problem solver comfortable with ambiguity, diligent in follow-through, genuinely curious about customer psychology, and a strong communicator across engineering, design, analytics, and marketing. You'll bring 2+ years in management consulting, product management, or product/business operations; strong analytical skills; a track record of owning ambiguous problems; and excellent written and verbal communication.
