Beeper, part of Automattic, is seeking a Product Manager for Growth & Analytics to own product execution on growth initiatives. You will work directly with Beeper's leadership to understand user retention, friction points, and monetization drivers, then translate those insights into product decisions.
In this role, you will own the complete product process for growth: writing specs and user stories, defining success criteria, and tracking experiments so engineering has clear scope and leadership has measurable outcomes. You'll run experiments end-to-end—from hypothesis through instrumentation, launch, and results analysis. You'll build and maintain the dashboards the leadership team relies on weekly for activation, retention, conversion, and engagement metrics. When metrics shift, you investigate root causes and recommend actions.
You'll validate problems with engineering and support teams, confirm whether shipped features achieved their goals, and maintain product documentation (specs, release notes, internal references) to keep the distributed team aligned.
You should have 4–6 years in product management, growth, or a closely related role with demonstrated product execution ownership. Strong SQL skills are a hard requirement: you must be comfortable writing CTEs, window functions, cohort analyses, and funnel queries. Experience with cloud data warehouses and dashboard/query building is essential. You should be able to write specs that engineering builds against and data summaries that inform leadership decisions. You must have run experiments and understand the difference between shipping a feature and learning from it.
It helps if you have A/B testing and experiment design experience, background on messaging/social/consumer products, familiarity with subscription or freemium models, understanding of basic statistics, and comfort working with imperfect data. Startup or distributed-team experience is a plus. North American time zone overlap (Eastern preferred) is important for close collaboration with leadership.
