Jerry.ai is a profitable, Series C, YC-backed fintech startup with 5M+ customers and $240M in funding. The company is building an AI-powered advisor to manage physical assets, starting with car insurance (launched 2019) and expanding into home, motorcycle, RV, and boat insurance. The car insurance market alone represents a $300B opportunity in the U.S. The Growth team owns the entire customer sign-up and purchase funnel for Jerry's insurance marketplace, driving how millions discover and evaluate the platform. The product is becoming increasingly complex as new insurance carriers are onboarded and new asset classes are added. This Product Manager role has two phases: Phase 1 (first few months): Learn PM fundamentals and develop deep understanding of funnel performance. Conduct structured product walkthroughs to map user journeys and identify friction. Own user feedback monitoring from reviews, support tickets, and research, synthesizing signals into actionable insights. Drive bug triage and resolution with engineering to ensure quality issues are prioritized. Phase 2 (as context builds): Lead end-to-end delivery of product initiatives, starting with well-scoped launches (landing pages, compliance features) and expanding scope. Contribute to A/B testing and experiment design. Partner with Design and Engineering to ship experiences balancing speed, clarity, and trust. Translate ambiguous customer problems into clear hypotheses and requirements. Key characteristics: Report directly to VP of Growth with c-suite visibility. Small Growth team (3 PMs total) with huge surface area requiring scrappy execution but offering significant ownership. Weekly sprint cycles with fast shipping culture—products that take 6-12 months elsewhere launch in 1-2 months. Engineering team partly based in China requires 3-4 hours daily overlap with China business hours (non-negotiable constraint). Ideal candidate: First-principles thinker comfortable with ambiguous problems and incomplete information. Diligent with impeccable follow-through. Intrinsically interested in customer feedback and understanding user behavior. Strong communicator across engineering, design, analytics, and marketing, including across time zones. Requirements: 3+ years product management experience (preferably consumer-facing). Strong analytical skills to pull, structure, and interpret data independently. Track record owning ambiguous problems and delivering impact. Excellent written and verbal communication. Willingness to maintain daily China business hours overlap.
