OpenAI's Enterprise Identity team is building foundational identity and access management systems that enable organizations to securely adopt OpenAI products at scale. The team owns critical capabilities including single sign-on (SSO), SCIM provisioning, identity federation, session management, and access controls across all OpenAI products—from ChatGPT to the API platform.
As Product Manager for Enterprise Identity, you will lead the strategy and execution of the enterprise identity roadmap, working to deliver capabilities that meet the needs of organizations ranging from high-growth startups to Fortune 500 enterprises. Your work directly enables safe, large-scale enterprise adoption of frontier AI systems.
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and execute the product strategy for enterprise identity, spanning SSO, SCIM, federation, and advanced admin controls
- Partner with enterprise customers and internal teams to design features that address diverse security and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with engineering and go-to-market teams to evolve the identity data model for complex organizational hierarchies and administration patterns
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate enterprise identity capabilities across ChatGPT, the API platform, and new product surfaces
- Establish and track KPIs to measure product adoption, success, and reliability
You will work closely with engineering, security, go-to-market, and customer-facing teams to ensure identity systems meet enterprise needs and enable confident adoption of OpenAI's technology.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 10+ years of product management experience leading large-scale enterprise products
- Strong product judgment with ability to simplify complex problems
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with technical teams and ship high-quality products
- Analytical mindset, user-focused approach, and excellent cross-functional communication skills
- Deep interest in how AI can improve business operations
