Float is Canada's intelligent financial operating system, combining modern financial services and software to help businesses spend, save, and grow. Trusted by more than 7,500 Canadian companies, Float provides high-limit corporate cards, automated expense management, next-day bill payments, high-yield accounts, and industry-leading support. The company recently raised $85 million in Series C funding and is backed by world-class investors including Inovia Capital, Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives, OMERS Ventures, and Silicon Valley Bank.
As the founding Product Manager for Credit & Risk Engineering, you will own the roadmap and sequencing for the Credit & Risk Engineering squad across three domains: managing the trade-off between paying down risk infrastructure debt and building the FlexLine decisioning engine. You'll sit at the intersection of Float's credit roadmap and growth funnel, leading a small engineering team to scale credit decisioning and monitoring infrastructure.
Key responsibilities include: owning the decisioning and automation systems that drive KYB/KYC approval speed and accuracy; managing tooling behind fraud detection, AML compliance, payments operations, and dispute resolution; owning risk decision operating cost per account as the primary efficiency metric; owning in-app credit experiences (applying for credit, viewing balances and limits, setting up repayments); and serving as the standing source of truth on where the credit product roadmap ends and credit-engineering scope begins in partnership with the GM of Credit.
You'll bring 5+ years of product management experience with meaningful time personally owning a credit underwriting or risk-decisioning outcome. You have a track record building and owning infrastructure or internal-tooling products. You put customers first, act like an owner, think big and move fast, constantly learn and grow, raise the bar for quality and efficiency, and win as a team. Float values decentralized decision-making, feedback-driven culture, and ownership across all team members.
