Perplexity AI is seeking a Senior Product Manager to own the Core Experience team, which defines foundational interactions for how users engage with Perplexity's agentic AI platform daily. The role focuses on search and agentic experiences, spanning how users begin work, understand product behavior, navigate, manage context, collaborate, and return to ongoing work across platforms.
You will identify high-leverage user problems and translate them into clear product direction, partnering closely with design, engineering, data science, and research teams. Key responsibilities include anticipating innovation opportunities in enterprise industries, envisioning new experiences with long-term vision, understanding product-led growth and retention levers, and making complex AI behavior understandable through thoughtful interaction models and feedback design.
The role requires developing deep user empathy through direct product use, qualitative research, product data analysis, and experimentation. You'll drive alignment across multiple product surfaces and platforms, communicate product decisions and tradeoffs to leadership, and demonstrate conviction in making difficult decisions under uncertainty. Success requires strong product judgment, analytical rigor, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a small, agile team environment with high ownership.
Required qualifications include 4+ years of product management experience, strong data and metrics expertise, background with productivity and knowledge work products, prototyping and data visualization skills, and experience building data-driven flywheels. The ideal candidate is a domain expert in a particular industry and passionate about innovating within it.
