You'll own a meaningful surface of the retail and payments platform, starting with integration work—the connections between the back office and third-party systems merchants depend on. This is a hands-on role with real autonomy. You'll own a surface end-to-end: talking directly to merchants, defining what gets built, and working with engineering to ship it. You'll be the person who understands how a surface behaves in production and the point of contact when something doesn't add up.
Key responsibilities include owning the integrations roadmap (existing and future partner integrations from evaluation through launch), gathering requirements directly from merchants, coordinating work across engineering teams, serving as the product point of contact for support and go-to-market escalations, and managing payments workstreams as they intersect with integrations (tender handling, reconciliation, processor behavior).
You'll translate messy merchant input into clear direction, write requirements focused on problems and outcomes rather than implementation, prioritize across competing commitments while explaining tradeoffs, partner closely with engineering on scoping, monitor shipped integrations' real-world performance, and keep engineering teams aligned when work spans multiple teams.
