Kojo is a construction technology company founded in 2018, transforming how commercial construction companies buy materials. The construction industry spends $10 trillion annually, yet material procurement—which represents up to 40% of project costs—has seen minimal innovation in 70 years. Kojo is changing this by building software that makes materials procurement faster and easier for contractors purchasing over $5B annually. You'll own the product strategy and roadmap for Kojo's Field app, a mobile and web workflow that puts materials in the hands of field crews across 600+ leading contractors. Field crews are the ones physically building infrastructure, and this role focuses on ensuring they know which materials they need and when, on the job site. You'll report to the Lead Product Manager within the larger Procurement product organization, which connects AP, Warehouse, Catalog, and Integrations functions. Key responsibilities include: - Owning the Field app roadmap end-to-end: research, discovery, prototyping, experimentation, shipping, and iteration across iOS, Android, tablet, and web - Radically simplifying core field workflows to establish Kojo as the most user-friendly solution in construction - Diagnosing adoption barriers and identifying time-saving opportunities across material request workflows - Breaking down undefined problems into shippable plans You should have demonstrated UX ownership, having personally redesigned workflows for users resistant to change—critical in construction where adoption must be earned. Mobile fluency is essential; you've shipped iOS, Android, or tablet products and understand platform-specific tradeoffs. You excel at independent problem framing, multi-persona design, and cross-functional influence without formal authority. You've adapted to shifting scope and priorities mid-quarter. AI fluency is valued, particularly experience shipping AI-assisted features to reduce friction. You're customer-obsessed, sitting with skeptical field crews to rebuild flows around how they actually work. You measure impact by shipping the simplest version that reduces friction and tracking behavioral change. You own roadmap decisions even when underlying plans are still being defined, and you collaborate closely with engineering, design, and sales before writing specs.
