Funnel Leasing is a cloud-based proptech SaaS platform transforming the rental experience through innovative marketing and leasing software. As Product Manager, Payments, you will own the end-to-end payments product strategy, roadmap, and execution across Funnel's platform.
You'll be responsible for defining and delivering payment workflows, failure states, reconciliation, integrations, reporting, and operational tooling. This includes partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Strategy, Customer Success, Implementation, Support, Finance/Operations, and external payment partners to ensure payment experiences are reliable, intuitive, scalable, and compliant.
Key responsibilities include: owning the payments roadmap from discovery through iteration; defining product requirements for payment workflows, reconciliation, settings, integrations, and error handling; collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to identify needs and reduce operational friction; driving external partner discovery when vendor documentation is incomplete; owning reconciliation strategy across PMS integrations, payment vendors, payouts, and bank activity; using data and customer feedback to prioritize improvements; coordinating launches and enablement; and evaluating payment configuration models to reduce customer misconfiguration.
You should be comfortable working in complex technical systems, understand the importance of accuracy and trust in payment and accounting workflows, and can balance customer needs, operational requirements, compliance, and technical constraints. You'll translate technical complexity into clear product requirements and ask effective implementation questions.
Required: 3-5 years as a Product Manager with ownership of payments, billing, fintech, financial operations, integrations, or high-trust transactional workflows. Strong understanding of property management ledgers, PMS workflows, accounting concepts, payment posting, batching, payouts, and reconciliation. Ability to break down complex systems into clear requirements and phased delivery. Comfort with APIs, integrations, data flows, and edge cases. Excellent cross-functional communication, especially with Engineering, Design, Operations, and Support. Strong judgment on prioritization, risk, and release readiness. Customer-minded with detail orientation around accuracy and operational impact.
Nice to have: proptech, property management, or multifamily experience; payment compliance or fraud prevention knowledge; vendor relationship management; familiarity with Jira, Notion, Figma, Pendo, or Looker.
