Checkout.com is a global fintech platform powering over 10 billion transactions yearly for merchants like eBay, Spotify, Klarna, Uber, and Sony. This Product Manager role focuses on expanding and enhancing the Alternative Payment Methods (APM) portfolio, with emphasis on bank-based payment rails and direct debit solutions. You will lead cross-functional initiatives across product, engineering, and business teams to embed APMs throughout Checkout.com's ecosystem, enabling merchants to grow their global footprint. Key responsibilities include setting strategy for the APM portfolio by understanding target markets and customers, balancing new APM additions with enhancements to existing offerings using qualitative and quantitative research. You'll become an expert in payment methods, working closely with payment partners to understand market trends and success drivers, then leverage this knowledge to support the commercial team and drive merchant value. The role requires designing optimal API and integration experiences for each APM, balancing consistency across Checkout.com's products with method-specific nuances. You'll build strong partnerships with business, product, and technology stakeholders to generate momentum and ensure alignment with broader roadmaps. Daily tasks include understanding stakeholder pain points, driving prioritization for product development, and developing new capabilities for customers. Checkout.com operates a hybrid model with three days per week in the London office. The company has 20 offices across six continents and emphasizes fast execution, global thinking, and building exceptional teams. Success requires data-driven decision-making, customer-first thinking, end-to-end product mindset, strong cross-functional leadership, and excellent communication skills.
