Perplexity AI is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead the AI Capabilities team, which owns the product structures that transform intelligence into repeatable, composable experiences. This includes Skills (teaching Computer how to work), collaboration features (enabling people and agents to build together), artifact generation (turning ideas into polished outputs), and Projects (organizing context, knowledge, and ongoing work).
In this role, you will identify high-leverage user and platform problems, translate them into clear product direction, and partner closely with design, engineering, data science, and research teams to deliver powerful, understandable, extensible, and dependable experiences. You'll anticipate opportunities for innovation in reusable AI capabilities, develop a long-term vision for the team's product areas, and understand the levers for capability discovery, adoption, reuse, sharing, and ecosystem growth.
Key responsibilities include working with engineering and design to align product expectations with model, tool, and platform capabilities; collaborating with research to evaluate and steer nondeterministic models and agents toward high-value outcomes; making difficult product decisions under uncertainty; and developing deep understanding of how individuals and teams create, customize, collaborate, and build repeatable workflows with AI. You'll make complex AI behavior understandable and controllable through clear interaction models, thoughtful defaults, permissions, and well-designed feedback. You'll also drive alignment across Computer, Search, Projects, artifacts, connectors, and multiple teams, and communicate product decisions, tradeoffs, progress, and learnings clearly to leadership and cross-functional partners.
Required qualifications include 4+ years of product management experience, strong background with data and metrics, experience building AI-native productivity, collaboration, platform, or developer-facing products, and familiarity with agentic systems, tool use, evaluations, extensibility, or workflow orchestration. Experience with rapid prototyping, designing systems that produce high-quality artifacts, and building data-driven flywheels for iterative improvement is valued. You should thrive in small, agile teams with strong initiative and ownership mentality.
