Sierra is building an AI agent platform to enable enterprises and government institutions to deliver better, more human customer experiences. The company is backed by prominent founders (Bret Taylor, former Salesforce co-CEO and Google Maps co-creator; Clay Bavor, former Google Labs lead) and counts SoftBank, Uber, Rivian, and Sutter Health among its partners. Sierra recently achieved FedRAMP High certification, opening doors to the US public sector. As Product Manager for Agent Development in the Public Sector team, you will lead the discovery, design, and launch of enterprise-grade AI agents serving government institutions. Your responsibilities include: - Partner directly with federal and state agencies to understand their missions, constraints, and constituent needs. Conduct ground-up discovery to identify where AI agents can improve access, responsiveness, and outcomes in high-stakes, mission-critical interactions. - Translate mission goals into clear product strategy, roadmaps, and measurable success metrics. Own outcomes from concept through production, coordinating across customer stakeholders, engineering, design, research, security, and operations. - Serve as a trusted advisor to public sector leaders and hands-on partner to their teams. Assess requirements, present demonstrations, navigate technical and operational challenges, and continuously iterate agents to fit institutional policies and workflows. - Shape Sierra's platform and public sector roadmap by surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools and features, and collaborating with research, product, and platform teams. - Contribute to public sector business strategy, market positioning, and scalable approaches that preserve trust and craftsmanship. Example projects include building agents for benefits eligibility and application, fraud reporting systems, multi-language government service chatbots, proactive constituent engagement workflows, and analytics tools that surface emerging citizen needs to officials. You bring 5–7+ years of technical product development experience, with demonstrated expertise at Senior Product Manager level or above. You have genuine passion for public sector impact and institutional transformation. You excel at direct customer engagement, navigating complex organizations, and translating stakeholder needs into actionable product direction. You're comfortable crafting tailored messaging for diverse audiences, from frontline staff to senior executives.
