Neo Financial is seeking a senior product leader to own a significant, complex product vertical end-to-end. This role combines strategic vision-setting with hands-on execution across high-stakes areas such as revenue-generating products, compliance infrastructure, platform architecture, or new business lines.
You will build and develop a team of product managers, setting the vision for a technically complex surface area while partnering directly with engineering leadership on architectural decisions. The role requires deep ownership: you close the loop between strategy and execution, navigating regulatory constraints and operational complexity without handing off difficult work.
Key responsibilities include owning a major product vertical with real business impact, hiring and developing a PM team to high standards, driving cross-functional alignment across engineering, design, operations, legal, and finance, and making platform-level decisions that compound over time rather than optimizing individual features.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical fluency—credible engagement with engineers on system design, data models, and infrastructure trade-offs. You have proven experience owning complex, regulated, or operationally intensive products in fintech, payments, lending, or similar domains. You've scaled both systems and teams through ambiguity, moving products from working to reliable to growing. Strong people leadership is essential: you've built and developed PM teams, not just managed them. You operate with low ego and high standards, doing unglamorous work and holding others to the same bar.
Neo Financial is Canada's #1 fastest-growing fintech (Deloitte Technology Fast 50 three-peat winner, 2023–2025). Founded in 2019, the company now has 500+ employees, 1M+ customers, and 10K+ retail partners. The team primarily collaborates in-person across Calgary, Winnipeg, and Toronto offices. Select roles include equity participation. All candidates must pass security screening, including criminal records and credit checks.
