dcbel Inc. designs and sells residential clean energy products, with a flagship offering called dcbel Ara—a Home Energy Station that integrates solar power, EV charging, home power, and grid services into a unified system. The company is building the infrastructure for decentralized, sustainable energy consumption and production.
The Product Knowledge Specialist role is responsible for shaping how customers, partners, and support teams understand dcbel products. This is not a traditional documentation role; instead, it focuses on establishing the principles, standards, information architecture, and knowledge frameworks that determine how product information is structured, presented, and maintained across all audiences and channels.
Key responsibilities include:
• Defining how product knowledge supports customer trust—determining what customers need to understand, what can remain invisible, and how information reinforces confidence in an autonomous energy system.
• Owning the product knowledge system: establishing structure, standards, terminology, and governance to keep product knowledge accurate, consistent, discoverable, and maintainable.
• Transforming product definitions into customer understanding by converting product thesis, release scope, scenarios, requirements, and customer profiles into guidance that helps customers understand outcomes without needing to manage the system themselves.
• Establishing guardrails for AI-assisted knowledge creation, defining principles, tone, standards, and quality expectations that enable AI to accelerate content creation while preserving accuracy and customer trust.
• Working alongside Product Management, Product Design, Release Readiness, Customer Experience, and Support teams to ensure product knowledge is structured, governed, and reusable across customer guidance, installation materials, FAQs, and support experiences.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience building clarity from complexity in knowledge management, information architecture, product documentation, content strategy, product operations, or related disciplines. You should demonstrate proven ability to design scalable knowledge systems, strong judgment in defining standards and guardrails, systems-thinking mindset with high accountability, entrepreneurial mindset, results orientation, strong emotional intelligence, and ability to translate end-user applications into clear scenarios and requirements.
