Airwallex is an AI-native financial operating system serving over 676,000 businesses globally, including McLaren Racing, Qantas, SHEIN, and TikTok. The company provides regulated financial infrastructure spanning North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, with 2,300+ employees across 27 offices.
In this role, you will report directly to the CFO and shape the future of Airwallex's Finance team. You will act as the architect of the Finance systems landscape, diagnosing current gaps, designing the target state, and building solutions to get there. This is a high-impact position at the intersection of strategy, technology, and execution.
Key responsibilities include:
- Embed deeply with global Finance teams to understand needs and identify high-impact use cases
- Define and own the end-to-end AI transformation roadmap for Finance
- Own technical delivery from prototype to production
- Codify working patterns into reusable building blocks
- Lead change management and upskilling initiatives to enable adoption of new tools
- Track, measure, and communicate outcomes to ensure accountability
You will hold complete end-to-end technical and product ownership, wearing both the hat of a Product Manager (defining what and why) and acting as a lead engineer (building the how). There are no layers of middle management or rigid ticketing queues—you will be expected to move fast with good judgment and make calls from first principles.
