The company recently raised $475M from The Carlyle Group at a $1B+ valuation and serves top investment funds and Fortune 500 companies with proprietary technology that analyzes billions of data points across sectors including software, AI, cloud, e-commerce, ridesharing, and payments. The Product Development Associate will join the New Product Development (NPD) team as a highly autonomous individual contributor. This role focuses on evaluating third-party datasets, assessing their quality and business value, and identifying new product opportunities that create value for clients and the business. Key responsibilities include: - Evaluating and building upon third-party datasets to assess quality, business value, and use cases - Defining key questions, success metrics, and analytical frameworks for open-ended projects - Conducting quantitative analyses and translating findings into actionable recommendations - Supporting development and improvement of new products, datasets, and data-driven initiatives - Working with analysts to plan, develop, and execute complex projects - Exploring new use cases, methodologies, and applications for datasets - Leveraging AI tools, LLMs, and automation to improve research and productivity - Collaborating across engineering, partnerships, product, and business teams The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience in data analytics, data science, or alternative data. Strong technical skills required: SQL and/or PySpark, comfort with large datasets, and experience with modern data platforms like Databricks. The role demands the ability to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, strong judgment in data-driven decision-making, and comfort with AI tools while maintaining independent critical thinking. Candidates should thrive in open-ended environments with high ownership and autonomy. East/West Coast work hours expected.
