Lendable is a UK unicorn fintech company on a mission to rebuild consumer finance products with modern technology. The company is profitable since 2017, backed by top investors including Balderton Capital and Goldman Sachs, and has over 800 employees. They've already rebuilt loans, credit cards, and car finance products from scratch, and are expanding into the UK and US markets.
You'll join a team of 5 product designers reporting to the VP of Product & Design. Your primary focus will be the Zable app, a financial SuperApp with 2M+ monthly active users that consolidates credit cards, loans, memberships, and mobile services. You'll own complex product areas end-to-end, from discovery and research through to production-ready design. Beyond individual contribution, you'll mentor other designers and help raise the bar for craft and outcomes across the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Shape problems in discovery with PMs and engineers, clearly stating user needs
- Run user research and usability tests, synthesizing findings into actionable themes
- Use funnel and analytics data to identify confusing flows, unclear value propositions, and potential customer harm
- Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and intentionally design edge cases and error states
- Apply the design system and Zable brand guidelines, flagging inconsistencies
- Collaborate with engineers on constraints during design, not at handoff, and write comprehensive specs covering every state
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate research, analysis, and production, including shipping design changes via PRs
- Maintain accurate, well-documented Figma files that engineers and AI coding tools can reliably use
The interview process includes CV screening, an introductory call, a take-home design exercise, a task debrief with the design team (45 mins), and final in-person interviews (3x 30 min sessions with VP Product & Design, engineering team members, and the CPO).
Lendable offers hybrid working with three days in-office weekly, private health coverage, retirement savings plans, employee referral bonuses, complimentary lunches on in-office days, and sustainable commuting schemes.

- Daily use of AI tools as a normal part of workflow
- Commitment to accessibility (WCAG AA) and fair customer outcomes as core design principles, not compliance checkboxes
- Strong feedback skills and desire to help build a growing design team
- Bonus: UX writing experience
