Collective is a fintech platform empowering self-employed professionals and solopreneurs with integrated business services—incorporation, accounting, bookkeeping, tax services, and community access. You will join as a full-stack individual contributor Lead Product Designer owning the Accounting & Payroll product area, the most complex and highest-stakes part of the platform. You'll partner directly with a Product Lead and Engineering team to transform messy financial workflows into clear, trustworthy, and fast experiences. Key responsibilities: - Deeply understand customer needs, business objectives, and industry context to imagine and deliver paradigm-changing experiences - Establish and maintain a high bar for visual polish and intuitive interaction patterns - Clearly define customer and business problems; explore broad-to-narrow solution spaces with thoughtful design - Ideate, design, launch, and improve products advancing Collective's mission - Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, engineers, designers, operations, sales, and marketing to ship innovative, well-crafted experiences at scale - Balance execution velocity with quality, making informed tradeoffs between design choices and available resources - Contribute to building a robust and refined design system - Help shape how the design team grows and evolves You'll own work end-to-end and ship daily to solopreneurs who reclaim their time as a result. Requirements: - 5+ years of experience as a Product Designer - Demonstrated impact on product strategy and customer experience in previous roles, preferably in Fintech or Consumer Tech - Outstanding UX capabilities and strong visual design competency, including visual design, UI/UX, copywriting, and systems design - High bar for visual polish and intuitive, simple design patterns - Passion for turning complex problems into simple, engaging solutions - Deep understanding of the end-to-end design process—from identifying customer needs and pain points to delivering exceptional experiences - Ability to apply consumer insights and metrics to inform design decisions and influence the product roadmap - Strong systems thinking with ability to connect dots across the entire customer journey
