DubClub is building a marketplace platform connecting sports handicappers ("cappers") who build audiences with bettors seeking trusted advice and an edge. The platform consolidates fragmented sports betting content and creator tools into a unified experience.
As Lead Product Designer, you'll own design direction for DubClub's mobile product across both marketplace sides: creator tools for cappers to build and manage subscription businesses, and fan-facing discovery, subscription, and engagement experiences. This is a senior individual contributor role with meaningful influence over product decisions. You'll stay hands-on in design and prototyping while guiding product quality across the team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead end-to-end product design from discovery, information architecture, user flows, prototypes, visual design, and implementation review
- Build deep understanding of DubClub's business and users; proactively identify problems and opportunities
- Design complete user journeys for fan discovery, subscription, onboarding, content access, engagement, and renewal
- Create creator tools for launching offerings, communicating with subscribers, understanding performance, and growing businesses
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform product direction
- Work fluidly with engineers across exploration, prototyping, development, and refinement
- Use AI and rapid prototyping tools to explore ideas and validate concepts
- Contribute to shared design patterns and provide constructive feedback to support team quality
You'll work closely with Product, Engineering, Creator Success, and company leadership throughout the design process.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Senior- or lead-level experience designing and shipping digital products as a hands-on individual contributor, with portfolio demonstrating contribution from problem definition through launch and iteration
- Strong interaction design and information architecture skills; demonstrated experience independently defining and solving complex consumer experience problems
- Strong visual design skills across responsive web and mobile, including thoughtful use of hierarchy, typography, and interaction details
- Experience with consumer subscriptions, marketplaces, creator tools, commerce, or similarly complex products serving multiple user types
- Sound product judgment connecting user needs to business goals; ability to prioritize high-impact opportunities and explain design decisions clearly
- Portfolio demonstrating user journey thinking with evidence of reasoning, exploration, and validation approach
- Proactive approach to understanding business, identifying opportunities, and constructively challenging assumptions
- Comfort working directly with users, navigating incomplete information, and adapting design approach as priorities evolve
- Practical approach to balancing craft, learning, and speed
- Experience collaborating closely with engineers and understanding how design decisions translate to production software
- Fluency with Figma and prototyping; curiosity about emerging tools
- Willingness to stay hands-on while guiding quality and direction of work beyond own projects
- Plus: Experience in sports betting, prediction markets, marketplaces, or creator platforms; motivation to develop deep understanding of DubClub's business
