HackerRank is seeking a Product Analyst II to own end-to-end analytics for its developer-focused platform. The role spans AI-powered experiences, developer-facing products, content, community growth, and platform initiatives. You will move beyond BI reporting to act as a strategic thought partner to Product, Engineering, Content, Design, and business teams—answering not just "what happened?" but "what should we build, improve, prioritize, or measure next?"
Key responsibilities include: owning analytics for next-generation products and platforms; defining and evolving metrics across adoption, engagement, retention, satisfaction, usability, and customer value; analyzing developer journeys, segments, and feature-level behavior to identify opportunities and friction; evaluating quality and adoption of new content and AI-powered experiences; partnering with cross-functional teams to define measurement plans and success criteria; driving experimentation through hypothesis framing, opportunity sizing, experiment design, and result interpretation; and using AI agents as part of your daily analytics workflow, including analyzing AI assistants and agentic workflows for usage, outcomes, cost, and pricing implications.
You will need 3–6 years of experience in product analytics, data science, growth analytics, consumer analytics, platform analytics, or related fields. Advanced SQL skills and experience with event, session, or clickstream-level product data are essential. Proficiency in Python for analysis and comfort with large, imperfect, or text-based datasets is required. A strong foundation in statistics—including hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, statistical significance, power analysis, sampling, regression, and causal inference—is critical. You should understand funnels, cohort analysis, segmentation, retention, experimentation, and feature adoption, and be able to translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, clear recommendations, and measurable outcomes.
Bonus qualifications include familiarity with LLM product metrics, AI quality evaluation, or agent workflow analysis; experience implementing or validating clickstream instrumentation; experience measuring content quality, learning outcomes, developer workflows, or community engagement; and prior work with consumer tech, developer tools, learning platforms, marketplaces, or B2B SaaS products.
You will thrive if you enjoy owning analytics initiatives end-to-end, thrive in fast-paced environments where priorities evolve, have a strong bias for action and experimentation, enjoy working across product areas and building context quickly, and excel at collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
