The Procurement Specialist supports day-to-day operations of the Procurement organization through administration of procurement systems, processes, reporting, and transactional activities. This role serves as a central coordination point for procurement-related issue resolution, data integrity, compliance documentation, and cross-functional support, ensuring efficient flow of information, materials, and purchasing activities across the organization. Key responsibilities include coordinating with Receiving, Accounts Payable, Planning, Production, Engineering, Quality, Contracts, and Program Management to investigate and resolve procurement-related issues impacting material availability and production schedules. The specialist serves as the primary point of contact for resolving purchasing process discrepancies, including receiving issues, invoice exceptions, pricing discrepancies, and purchase order mismatches. Additional duties encompass supplier onboarding and administration, maintaining and administering procurement data within ERP/MRP systems, developing and analyzing procurement metrics and KPIs related to supplier performance and purchasing effectiveness. The role requires reviewing purchase requisitions for completeness and compliance, monitoring open procurement actions to identify and mitigate risks, and assisting Buyers with sourcing activities including RFQ preparation and proposal analysis. The specialist maintains procurement files and documentation in accordance with company policies and audit readiness standards, supports internal audits and compliance assessments, and assists in developing and implementing procurement procedures and process improvements. The position also supports inventory management initiatives and excess/obsolete material resolution. Note: This position is safety-sensitive under 14 CFR 121 and requires full compliance with the company's Antidrug and Alcohol Misuse Prevention Program. Work arrangement is onsite with occasional travel and potential flexibility for hybrid arrangements.
