Wiz is a fast-growing cloud and AI security platform trusted by over 65% of the Fortune 100. The company recently became part of Google, combining Wiz's technology with Google's Threat Intelligence and Security Operations to detect, prevent, and respond to threats across all environments.
As Principal Solutions Engineer, you will serve as the company's top field expert in application and cloud-native security. You will work closely with Wiz's CTO, Field CTO, Customer Success, Product Management, and R&D to maintain alignment across the sales process and strategic customer engagements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Act as the company's premier field expert in application and cloud-native security, providing technical and business feedback to Product Management based on customer engagements to strengthen Wiz's positioning and value messaging.
- Collaborate with sales teams on high-value strategic opportunities, demonstrating the business and technical value of the Wiz platform to prospects and customers.
- Support Solutions Engineers and prospects during proof-of-concept phases with advanced use cases, deployment, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Lead regular thought leadership sessions with field teams, sharing insights and approaches from customer engagement to improve messaging effectiveness and value delivery.
- Contribute to messaging and selling Wiz platform capabilities to prospects and customers.
You will represent the brand at the highest levels and directly influence product development with field insights.
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
- Strong technical background with solid understanding of core IT, InfoSec, Cloud, and DevOps concepts.
- Proven experience and career path focused on public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience coding and understanding developer workflows (Git, CI/CD, Helm, Terraform, etc.).
- Exceptional ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences—from developer teams to executive-level stakeholders (CISO, CTO).
Preferred qualifications:
- Deep, practical knowledge of the AppSec landscape, including Application Security Posture Management (ASPM), SAST, DAST, SCA, and operational use of SBOMs (SPDX/CycloneDX) for vulnerability and license management.
- Demonstrable proficiency in one or more high-level languages (Python, Go, Rust) and/or advanced shell scripting.
- SME-level knowledge of Kubernetes and containers with ability to architect and troubleshoot complex environments.
- Passion for continuous self-improvement and learning to maintain technical leadership.
- Full professional fluency in Spanish (written and verbal).
