Assured is modernizing insurance claims processing, which is currently highly manual and costly. The company provides software solutions to large insurers, from self-service claim-filing to fraud detection and adjuster tooling. The Solutions team owns the technical relationship with named carrier accounts, handling discovery, data mapping, production monitoring, and ensuring carriers derive full value from Assured's platform.
As a Principal Solutions Consultant, you will be a hands-on, execution-focused technical leader supporting carrier accounts. You'll run discovery and solution design for deployments and integration strategies, partnering with Client Engagement Managers. You'll embed during critical phases including initial deployment, major expansions, and feature deployment opportunities. You'll own the technical narrative across your carrier accounts, writing clear defect tickets with repro steps and sample payloads that engineering can act on directly. You'll review API payloads for data loss and mistranslations, run smoke tests to confirm changes meet requirements, and maintain versioned workflow documentation and field-level mapping specs as integrations evolve.
You'll help monitor account health using SQL queries against production data to track capture rates and flag anomalies. You'll handle internal incident management, raising critical information to the Client Engagement team. As you ramp up, you'll take on growing ownership of the technical relationship for one or more carrier accounts directly.
The role is dynamic and collaborative, requiring you to bridge technical execution with client success. You'll work with complex systems involving digital experiences for stressed claimants, large-scale ML-driven decision-making on billions of dollars in claims, and orchestration across carrier systems.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 to 10 years of experience in a technical, analytical, or client-facing role such as solutions engineering, technical account management, or implementation consulting, ideally at a SaaS company
- Comfort with SQL, JSON, and APIs; ability to read payloads, write queries, and reason through relational data models
- Sharp attention to detail; ability to spot discrepancies in payloads or data tables
- Clear written communication; ability to write defect tickets and documentation that teammates can act on without follow-up questions
- Some exposure to AI or machine learning powered products, and comfort learning how AI features work well enough to explain them to carriers
- Proactive, low-ego builder's mindset with motivation to grow and take on more responsibility
- P&C insurance or insurtech exposure is a plus but not required
