As Principal Software Engineer, you will lead the technical strategy, architecture, and evolution of critical, large-scale systems supporting key business capabilities. This is a company-wide technical leadership role focused on driving architectural initiatives, AI adoption, platform modernization, and engineering excellence while influencing senior leadership and aligning multiple engineering organizations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the design and evolution of large-scale, distributed systems and platform architectures
- Defining and driving company-wide technical strategy aligned with business and product objectives
- Establishing architectural principles, standards, and best practices for scalability, consistency, and maintainability
- Driving strategic adoption of AI-assisted development practices across the organization
- Leading cross-functional and cross-organizational initiatives spanning multiple systems and business units
- Identifying and mitigating systemic technical risks while driving modernization and technical debt reduction
- Advancing system reliability, scalability, performance, observability, and operational maturity
- Mentoring and influencing senior technical talent while promoting engineering excellence
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience), 12+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrated ability to define and drive technical strategy at organizational level, deep experience designing large-scale distributed systems and cloud-based platform architectures, strong hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native patterns, and proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive technical alignment across multiple teams without direct authority.
