GitLab is seeking a Principal Program Manager for Go-To-Market to own strategic execution across product launches and cross-functional initiatives. This role has two equal pillars: architecting GitLab's minor and major product launches with AI agents at the core, and running program management on key initiatives spanning Product Management, Product Design, Growth Marketing, Communications, and Field Enablement.
You will be AI-first by default, converting manual workflows into team-wide AI workflows and partnering with the AI Transformation Owner to drive adoption and governance. Rather than reactive deadline management, you drive proactive solutions with stakeholders, design decision stages to surface tradeoffs early, and redesign workflows when priorities shift.
Key responsibilities include orchestrating 15+ minor and major launches annually, sequencing product decisions into go-to-market functions with clear handoffs, keeping field enablement aligned with messaging and sales assets, designing decision points early to surface blockers, and scoping launches for both pipeline impact and post-launch adoption.
In your first year, you will institutionalize a dual operating system: a scalable launch framework and a portfolio program practice mapping dependencies across Product, Design, PTM, Growth, Communications, and Field. You will ship production agent workflows that reduce manual coordination, establish quality benchmarks, and make go-to-market program management relevant in the AI era.
You report to the VP of Product & Technical Marketing with significant executive visibility and autonomy. Success is measured by customer and business outcomes: pipeline impact where it matters, and brand/community impact where required—not activity volume alone.
