Flywire is seeking a Principal Product Manager for Payment Orchestration and Connectivity to lead the strategy and architecture of the company's global payments platform. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on building intelligent routing and optimization capabilities across payment acceptance, connectivity, and orchestration. You will own the routing and orchestration roadmap and partner with domain product managers to shape an integrated platform roadmap that connects shared capabilities across acceptance, pricing, onboarding, risk, and payouts. Key responsibilities include: - Building intelligent routing that improves authorization rates, reliability, conversion, and processing economics - Shaping scalable connectivity across processors, acquirers, card networks, and banks, covering payment rails such as ACH, SEPA, Faster Payments, and other regional systems - Establishing normalized payment APIs with consistent lifecycle states and provider outcomes across card and bank payments - Extending common orchestration capabilities across pay-ins and payouts - Partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Risk, Treasury, Operations, and Commercial teams to deliver a resilient global payments platform - Turning complex payment economics and performance data into clear priorities and a platform roadmap grounded in customer needs - Influencing multiple product teams and building capabilities that scale across markets, business models, and payment flows Flywire supports over 5,300 clients across education, healthcare, travel, and B2B industries, processing payments across 240 countries and territories in more than 140 currencies. The company has 1,400+ employees across 15 offices worldwide. Requirements: - Senior, hands-on product leadership experience building payment processing, orchestration, routing, or gateway platforms at scale - Deep understanding of how money moves end-to-end, including acceptance, settlement, refunds, returns, reconciliation, and payouts - Proven track record integrating with processors, acquirers, card networks, banks, and alternative payment providers - Strong knowledge of card payments and bank rails such as ACH, SEPA, Faster Payments, wires, or real-time payment networks - Strong platform thinking with ability to turn fragmented provider and rail capabilities into consistent, reusable products - Metrics-driven approach with experience using data and experimentation to improve payment performance - Ability to set strategy and drive execution across multiple teams without direct authority - Professional fluency in written and spoken English - Valid authorization to work in Spain
