SoFi is building Commercial Banking from the ground up and seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead strategy, roadmap, and delivery of a next-generation business banking platform. This is a 0→1, company-level role responsible for defining how businesses move and manage money across modern payment rails including Wires, ACH, FedNow, and emerging real-time/stablecoin settlement infrastructure.
You will set the vision and drive the roadmap for client-facing experiences and APIs, owning the end-to-end platform including business accounts, payments capabilities, treasury features, and developer APIs. Operating with high autonomy, you'll influence executive strategy and lead complex, regulated financial systems from concept through scale.
Key responsibilities include: defining multi-year product vision and roadmap for Commercial Banking; owning and delivering client-facing experiences and APIs; leading 0→1 product development from discovery through launch and scale; managing and growing a product team as the business scales; partnering cross-functionally with Business, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, Treasury, Finance, Sales, and Operations teams; translating regulatory and operational constraints into elegant product solutions; driving measurable outcomes in adoption, volume, reliability, cost efficiency, and risk performance; and influencing company strategy while mentoring other PMs as a subject-matter expert in commercial banking.
The ideal candidate has 10+ years of product management experience with significant time in platform and B2B roles, ideally with deep expertise in payments, banking infrastructure, or fintech. A bachelor's degree or higher in a technical, finance, or quantitative field is required. You should have demonstrated success building and scaling products in regulated environments, strong cross-functional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex technical and compliance requirements.
